Great news we have now been given directions from the NSW Office of Sport and the SJRU that we can resume rugby training with strict limitations. The key limitations are illustrated in the blog image.

We are aiming as a club to return to training at Camperdown Oval on Tuesday 2 June. If this date changes we will advise everyone email and through social media. Our return to training is still subject to Council approval.

Your team Managers will be in touch shortly with practice details. Return to training is optional for all members so do not feel pressured to return if you are uncomfortable. However, please let your manager know if you will not be attending practice.

We are now restricted to 60 players/coaches on a field at any one time and as a consequence we are spreading our training out over 4 nights. Age groups are detailed are follows

  • u8/9 Tuesdays at 5:30pm. Parents must be outside the fence
  • u9/10/11s Wednesdays at 5:30pm. Parents must be outside the fence
  • u12/13/14s Thursdays at 5:30pm. Parents must be outside the fence
  • u15/16s Fridays at 5:30pm. Parents must be outside the fence

Please note we are holding off a return to training for u6/7s until we plan how to manage the non contact directive.

All players at practice must wear training gear as that indicates we have a group booking for the field and also shows Health and Law enforcement officials we have a official gathering.

We are expecting to get a shortened season starting late July. This is obviously subject to change and we will update you as we get closer to the time. We can’t wait to see everyone down at Camperdown again under lights. Go Shammies!
