1883 Player of the Year – Aubrey Cook

The 1883 honour is proudly awarded to the players that the coaches deem to have epitomised the spirit of Shammies Rugby (Inner West Rugby Union Club). They play and train their hardest each and every week and always put the team ahead of themselves. This week we profile Aubrey Cooke from the 2018 season:

Aubrey was great to coach and even better to watch play. He listened attentively and then put that listening to good work on the training paddock and the pitch. Aubrey was one of our most improved players across the season and at times demonstrated near flawless technique. Beyond that Aubrey was a great team player, revelling in his teammates achievements as much as his own. Always positive, courteous and polite and yet unrelenting on the park.
