In summary:  Train Tuesdays / Saturday games St Lukes Park Concord / two-hand tag (no tackle) / loads of fun

The Under 6 and 7 age groups are all about fun and community. This program is a great introduction for children to team sports. For parents, it's an enjoyable way to come together and make new friends in the Inner West.

Competition and Calendar

The players enjoy a modified version of rugby that matches their age and skills. The program each week starts with training on Tuesday at Camperdown Oval.  Games are played on Saturday mornings at St Lukes Park Concord against other local clubs as part of Inner West Minis Rugby.

Game Format

The modified game format for 6’s and 7’s is designed to develop the player's skills, fitness and teamwork. Full details can be found here, but below is a summary.

Under 6 requirements

Players must have turned 5 by 1st January to qualify for an Under 6's team.  If your child misses the cut off and wants to play with other friends and classmates, this is generally fine, but you may need to fill out an ‘age dispensation form’.
